Heavy Equipment Operator

As a Heavy Equipment Operator it is crucial to be meticulous at your work. Staying updated on certifications and training, working safely, and meeting project deadlines should always be the top priority. Operators should also be well adapted to all types of adverse conditions such as extreme weather, project schedules, congested work spaces, etc.

 Operator responsibilities Include

  • Proven experience operating several types of equipment (excavator, bulldozer, front end loader, telehandler, skid steer, etc.)
  • Maintenance/ daily paperwork
  • Mastered the following tasks:
  • Legal loading of trucks – from stock pile & in-situ
  • Safe excavation slopes, etc.
  • Site organization and able to keep site neat
  • Understanding of handling
  • Different soil types in wet& dry weather
  • Understanding of grades
  • Access and egress of site for trucks
  • Bulk excavations, main line trenching, backfilling, hoe packing and hoe ramming
